As was seen with Street Fighter 6, the official materials posted on the publisher’s social media channels reveal the game is coming on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Though the announcement trailer was revealed during a PlayStation State of Play event, it’s not actually a PlayStation exclusive. Tekken 8 is set to be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Being more precise, it was 2016 more accurately July, when Bandai Namco has published the updated version of Tekken 7 that previously just came as arcade. Asked when the announcement would take place, the response was 'either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday,' while further responses for a guide to the release time. Will Tekken 8 come out on Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, or PC? Tekken 8 could be planned for the distant future or a release date could be saved for another event, such as the Tokyo Game Show which begins later this week. There wasn’t even a tease of what year it may come out in. No word was given on when the game may come out, though. That’s all that was shown though, leaving fans uncertain as to what other characters or new gameplay mechanics may be in the pipeline.
